About This Item
San Francisco: PFOC, 1978. Three items - "Fighting the State's Attacks;" " Political Struggle in the Courtroom - Women Fight for Self-representation Rights;" and "Defense Bulletin - Free the Five Comrades! - Fight Attacks on National and Women's Liberation!" The second item is a single 8.5x11 inch sheet; the other two are 4-panel brochures in similar format. Together with a printed cover letter, they have been folded and enclosed in an envelope for mailing. The recipient has noted the date of receipt (Feb. 1978) on the envelope. All of these were issued after the arrests of Clayton Van Lydegraf, Michael Justesen, Marc Perry, Leslie Mullin, and Judith Bissell by the Federal Government for their activities in the Weather Underground. They were known as the "L.A. Five.
