Known for paintings of his birds and mammals, Fuertes was the youngest member of the American Ornithologist's Union and his work influenced Sutton, Peterson and Kuhn. Bullock is a multimedia artisan, bookbinder who also makes and marbles paper, and the brain child of the blank notecards from salvaged book illustrations which she has been creating since 1998.
