A bright and fresh copy; pp. xvi, 216; fold out map present, chromolithographic frontispiece plate of a Great Black backed gull's nest, and numerous others. Publisher's green cloth with gilt lettering, bright minimal wear, bevelled edges. Top edge gilt. Contents clean and tight, bookplate belonging to John Emerson Griffith to the front pastedown, light toning, a few marks on page margins and fore-edges, plates and text clean. A very good copy of this scarce title. Peasrson also wrote " Beyond Petsora Eastward". [Provenance - John Emerson Griffith; Oologist, specialising in waders, former editor of the Jourdain Society Bulletin, he held a senior post for over 30 years.].
