Frontis plate of J ohn Sutter. Six tinted wood engravings and six black & white engraving s. 5" X 7 1/4", 456 pages. Good condition. The book is missing a fold- out facsimile page of the California Declaration of Rights else comple te. The corners have small bumps and light rubs. Spine just slightly s lanted. Soiling to the spine and covers. The pages are foxed through-o ut but are readable. .
