New York: Cheshire House, 1931. Limited ed. Hardcover. Good. Franklin Hughes. One of 1200 copies only, this copy out of sequence (unnumbered). Oversized in white silk cloth covered boards, spine lettered in silver, small silver design of Queen of Hearts bottom corners of the boards. 129 pp. With seven full page pastel tinted stylized deco-period designed illustrations by Franklin Hughes. Good only with toning to the edges of the boards, spine embrowned and an unfortuate though small stain to the upper gutter extending into the front and spine cloth. 1930s vintage deco book plate front free endpaper. Lacking the slipcase. A highly desired printing of "Through The Looking Glass" valued mainly for the Hughes illustrations which are indeed quite striking.
