MacGibbon & Kee , 1972. 1st Thus. Hardcover. VG++/VG-. 1st Thus. 22 x 31.5 cm black cloth with sliver stamped titles to the spine. Black chess board endpapers, 143 (1)pp with black and white illustrations by Ralph Steadman throughout. In original price clipped dust jacket. A clean and bright book without name, inscription or bookplate and and just a hint of spotting to the very edge of the text block. The dust jacket, which is now protected in a removable, clear cover (not shown,) is clean and unfaded, with a 0.5 cm chip to the top of the rear panel and a 0.5 cm closed tear on the front. There is some lifting of the laminate on the very tips of the spine and on the top edge. A lovely first edition copy with Steadman's illustrations. Synopsis
