Chicago: Playboy Press, 1973. First Edition. Hardcover with Dust Jacket. Near Fine/Very Good+. 8vo. Pp. 290. Black cloth, titles stamped in copper foil on the spine, brick-red endpapers. Lengthy inscription by Herb Stern to prominent Seattle surgeon Phil Sauntry regarding attorney Philip Jr., dated 12/25/73. Laid in undated clipping from the New York Times "Stern is Sworn In as a Federal Judge," (December 1973.). Story of the then- 36 year old U. S. attorney for New Jersey in his crusade to break organized crime's grip on state politics. The dust jacket is now housed in a removable, clear archival sleeve.
