Near Fine/Very Good. 8vo, khakki green cloth with gold lettering on spine, archival mylar-protected photographic dust jacket (unclipped), illustrated with 12 pages of glossy B&W photos and 2 maps, 243 pages. The battle of Kursk (5 July 1943ff.), which involved Hitler's panzers and combined forces against Russian men and weaponry was "the greatest single land-and-air combat engagement in military history"--jacket. Martin Caidin (1927 - 1997) was an American author and expert on aviation. Caidin began writing fiction in 1957. Proflific, he wrote more than 50 fiction and nonfiction books, and more than 1,000 magazine articles. He is known for his work on The Six Million Dollar Man (1974), Condition: Near Fine overall: tight, clean copy with a VG dust jacket (unclipped) with some wear at its edges, the top and bottom of its spine, and a "V" upper right corner.
