Very good in handsome pictorial dust wrapper designed by John Craxton, non-price-clipped but lightly marked at the rear panel with just a shade or two of fading to the spine panel, a hint of edgewear and some corresponding spotting to the front flap. First edition - this copy signed by the author on the title page. 8vo. 248pp. Blue cloth lettered in gold at the spine and with a small gilt-stamped vignette to the upper board. With a double-spread map printed on green paper, and the laid-in errata slip which is so often absent. A single tiny bump to the head of the upper board and the merest hint of browning to the front endpapers, presumably off-set for several laid-in newspaper obituaries. A virtually fine copy in the delightful John Craxton dust wrapper, price-clipped and with a hint of wear to the spine ends and several corner tips.' The Broken Road.
