First Printing. fair to good, ex-lib., good. 292, bibliography, index, lib stamps crossed out in marker (which has bled through), large rough spots inside rear board & flyleaf. Paper has been pasted over library stamps inside rear flyleaf, library stamp on fore-edge, some wear to top DJ edge and small tears, no library markings on DJ. The author argues that public indignation and pressure that "something" be done encourages random and excessive reactions that are even more dangerous than the terrorists they are designed to protect us from.
