A signed presentation copy of this example of Cecil's non fiction, presented in the original unclipped dust wrapper. The first edition, first impression, with no further impressions stated. Signed by the author to the front free endpaper: 'To Philip, with best wishes, Henry May 1964'. In the original unclipped dust wrapper. An interesting example of Henry Cecil's non fiction, detailing the long history of corruption within the judicial system. Cecil was a British barrister and judge, who wrote both fiction and non fiction, focused upon the British legal system. In the original cloth binding in the original unclipped dust wrapper. Externally in excellent with a light mark to the head of the front board. Dust wrapper is very smart with the occasional closed tear and minor chipping to the extremities. Age toning to the wrap. Sunning to the spine. Internally firmly bound. Pages bright and clean with marginal age toning. Near Fine

Where are We?
Based in the literary city of Bath, our offices are housed in the Eastern Dispensary. Built in 1845, the building originally existed as a charitable institution providing medical care. The building now houses our collection of over twenty thousand books and has five full time members of staff.
