Montreal. Cataract Publishing House. 1961. Soft cover. square12mo, 18x 14cm, [24]p., typescript, mimeographed leaves mainly printed in red, stapled wraps, staples rushed with some bled out staining, some pages shadowed (similar to shading commonly found on early photo copy paper), former owner's name on the cover, very good () - Not in Downey. ~ A very scarce Canadian "Beat Generation" magazine that appeared in Montreal at the same time as "Cataract" magazine. K.V. Hertz was one of the editors of both magazines. The rear page of "TIT" is an advertisement for "Cataract" Magazine. "Ginsberg Howls Again" is listed as an excerpt "by permission of Allan Ginberg". By the time of Allen Ginsberg's death in 1997, Howl, perhaps the major protest poem of the fifties and sixties, had sold 800,000 copies and been translated into twenty-four languages.
