Gramercy Books, 1979. Hardcover. Very good/Very good. First printing of this reprint edition, which was first published in 1976 by St. Martin's Press. From the front cover: The indispensable guide to the wondrous legends, history, language, and peoples of Middle Earth. With illustrations by Kevin Reilly. Jacket is protected in archival sleeve but with some creases and with shelf wear around the edges. Small bump to top edge of rear board and to spine ends, otherwise boards are straight and clean. Binding is strong, spine is straight and all pages are clean and unmarked though tanned.
