About This Item

Sydney: Allen & Unwin, 1989. Hardback small octivao, dustjacket, very good condition (in very good dustjacket), endpaper maps, black & white text-photos, maps, slight foxing reverse side jacket spine little faded, (minor edgewear, two tiny dents), spine ends slightly rubbed. 171 pp. Sheila Ross relates the untold account of a guerrilla band which fought the Japanese in the Philippines in the last stages of World War 2. It is the story of a young Australian, Major Rex Blow, DSO, who escaped from the Japanese in Borneo to lead the guerrillas, and of the seven who escaped with him. It is also the story of Murut sergeant from Sabah, Koram bin Anduit MBE, who engineered their escape, and Nooral Haq and Pritam Singh. This story is also a memorial to two of their number who died in the guerrilla campaign, and to those who did not return.
