About This Item
Santa Barbara:: John Daniel - Perserverance Press,, 2002.. SIGNED first edition -. Fine in glossy illustrated wrappers (as new). First printing, a trade paperback, not issued in hardcover. The first Katy Green mystery, featuring a feisty sleuth who plays the violin and sax in an all-woman's swing band in 1940, when the US is on the verge of World War II. Glatzer also provides an engaging story of how he came to write this stories: he was left the manuscripts by an elderly neighbor, Hannah Dobryn, in Hawaii, who had ghost written girls mysteries but been unable to get these adult mysteries with a female protagonist published. Set in California, from Santa Monica to Sacramento to Tahoe. Unusally, this novel was preceded by an audio version. SIGNED by the author on the title page, with a small LLC 04 after his name.
