This is the story of how Len Beadell made the first road ever to cross Central Australia from east to west. On the way he laid out Giles Met. Station and built the aerodrome there, then went on to skirt the dreaded Gibson Desert. Book is signed and inscribed by the author on the title page. Inscription reads "To Joan & Bill, Best wishes from the author, Len Beadell, Mar 77". Book is in good condition with mild general wear and tear and light page discolouration throughout, otherwise no other pre-loved markings..
