Interestingly, this is one of 200 copies printed at the Davidson Press by Richard W. Ellis and signed/inscribed by him. Richard W. Ellis was a noted American printer who was involved in numerous projects perhaps most notable, the Gustave Dore illustrated Pantheon edition of The Divine Comedy. A fine copy without dust jacket [as issued]. Blue-grey boards with ivory binding.Light scuff to front board. Beautiful bookplate on inside front cover.
