Utrecht: Typis & Sumptibus Jacobi Lekens, 1778. The most famous work of the Roman Catholic theologian Peter Dens ( 1690-1775), text in Latin. This is a Very Good (Plus) copy of the first edition, a posthumous issue. Two volumes bound as one. Full leather binding of polished calf. waving rule to covers; five raised bands; stamped titling on the spine, with gilt decorations. The ends of the covers have gilt decoration. Clean text; 492 pages, with a seven-page index. Marbled endpapers Light wear; a slight splay. A rather lovely volume that presents very well indeed.. First Edition. Full-Leather. Very Good (Plus)/No Jacket. 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" tall.
