This travelogue describes Brassey's journey from England to Madeira, from Madeira to Trinidad, onto Venezuela, and around the Caribbean. Illustrated with an engraved title, one folding map, seven maps, and many in-text engravings.Wood engravings by G. Pearson and J. Cooper, after drawings by R. T. Pritchett.Brassey was a note traveller and author, best known for her account of her voyage across the world 'A Voyage in the Sunbeam', published in 1878. Collated, lacking the track chart. In a half calf binding with marbled paper to the boards, with renewed endpapers. Externally, smart. A little light rubbing to the leather, including to the extremities. Spine is very lightly faded. Very light rubbing to the boards. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are bright and clean, with a few scattered spots. Collated, lacking one folding chart. Very Good
