New York: Doubleday, Page & Company, 1904. First American edition. Original dark green vertically ribbed pictorial cloth, stamped in black. Mull exposed at inner front hinge, Front free endpaper excised and two former owners names written on half-title in pencil and pen. A collection of Kipling's verse--the first appearance in book form of the poem "They", which had just appeared in Scribner's magazine the previous August. Spine ends lightly frayed and tips bumped. Mild shelfwear to rear board. Overall a tight, clean copy with strong hinges and a clean outward appearance. Very good. Livingston 290. First Edition. Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket. 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall.
