PO pencilled gift inscription, paper split at inner hinges, front hinge loose, rear hinge still fairly strong. Small piece missing from backstrip at crown, rubbing to heel and points, few minor stains to covers. Leaves clean and uncreased. Tissued frontis. First edition points: the page block is 1 and 1/8 inches thick; the title page is not tipped in; first state frontis portrait with facsimile autograph one and seven-sixteenths inches wide. ; 8vo 8" - 9" tall .
