Vol II: pp (593)- 1254, b&w steel engraved frontis and plates, text illus., some foxing to prelims and latter leaves, bookplate, bookseller's ticket (R.J. Bush, Charing Cross), tape to front inner hinge, full leather bds. Restoration to both volumes, remains of original gilt dec backstrips laid to new leather, contents clean, very good condition. With plate "Vegetation of New South Wales near Port Jackson" (after William Westall) showing banksia and xanthorroea. From the library of Arthur Cottam, an experienced amateur astronomer and a fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society. He became interested in entomology and botany and was a founder of the Watford Natural History Society. In 1891 Cotton published his most important work, Charts of the Constellations. 1st edition.
