New York: Baker, Voorhis & Co., 1897. lxvii, 834 pp. Octavo (9-1/4" x 6"). Contemporary sheep, blind rules to boards, raised bands, blind fillets and red and black lettering pieces to spine, blind tooling to board edges. Light rubbing to boards, some staining to edges of front board and spine, which has a few shallow scuffs, moderate rubbing to extremities, corners bumped, rear hinge starting, light toning to text, offsetting to margins of endleaves. $250. * Third edition. This work addresses contemporary innovations in civil procedure that affected changes in creditor's practice and procedure in such matters as consideration and indicia of fraud, possession, marital relationships, the law of notice, fraudulent chattel mortgages and the doctrine of spendthrift trusts. First published in 1884, it went through three editions, the last in 1897. Catalogue of the Library of the Harvard Law School (1909) I:854.
