Dark green cloth on boards with beige paper label with black lettering on spine. Black pictorial dustjacket with yellow lettering has much wear and tear, and has several areas with clear tape inside. This semi-autobiographical novel is about a teenage girl with big dreams and her Irish-American family who are living in Brooklyn during the first two decades of the 20th century. It was a huge success when it was first published. .
