With wide blank margin, engraved frame and title. Two very small ink marks on title, otherwise in tight, bright and clean condition with strong plate inprint. A delightful print, empahsising the more rural aspect of this area.

Purple silk covered boards with gilt lettering to front; black title to spine & gilt decoration to rear. Includes a ten foot x 16.5 inch folded print entitled Daisekai no Saku "Ken" Kamigami Yori Jinrui E. Jacket has two closed tears; other wise a fine copy in a vibrant purple cloth by Wada Book Binding, Tokyo. Large (15x30 cm) bold brush & ink signature by Munakata to front free fly. Number 2813 of only 3000 copies in the original Japanese.; Folio 30x43 cm; 222 pages; Signed by Artist; All shipments through USPS insured Priority Mail. .

Some creasing to the larger margins, two plates exhibit foxing and a couple more show some slight marginal tanning, otherwise very good or better. Decent representation of two of the sub- elements of Gavarni's extended work, which when completed, included 329 lithographic plates. The first element lacks plate 1 of the twenty published, and the second lacks plates 4 and 5 of twenty published (duplicates of 2 and 7 are also present, but not included in the count above). Ray treats the series at some length, describing Thomas Virelogue as "one of Gavarni's most brilliant inspirations," and the work as a whole as "a neglected masterpiece of nineteenth-century French graphic art." Classic Currier & Ives hunting lithograph in color, published in 1870, titled Wild Duck Shooting. 9x13 print in a 16 x 19 3/4" frame; newer matting; period frame in black paint with grain painted border. Lithograph is in very good condition. Title portion of the margins has darking toning. Frame is iin very good condition with small chips in the black paint. Ready to hang!

Hard cover Folio (15 x 12 in). Original gilt tooled full brown morocco, edges gilt marbled endpapers. Pages complete xxiv + 180, with 250 full-page black and white engravings on card with captioned tissue-guards.Containing two hundred and fifty beautiful engravings selected from the Dore Bible, Milton, Dante's Inferno, Purgatorio and Paradiso, Atala, Fontaine Fairy Realm, Don Quixote, Baron Munchausen, Croquemitaine with critical essays by Edmund Ollier.Page edges lightly scuffed and rubbed with some small scratches to cover boards - some remedial work done to secure the cover boards and spine, but otherwise good. Card plates bright but some foxing to the outer edges. Some foxing to the later text pages.The plate index is a little tricky to use, but all plates are present with the following corrections:Plate 75 misplaced to p130, plate 91 misplaced to p95.Note: This volume is heavy (38x31x10cm, approx 10kg). Arrangements can be negotiated for the most cost effective method of delivery.

The etching depicts Pierrot in an embrace with a woman, watched from the bushes by Harlequin. The work is signed in pencil by Jean Hardy on the bottom, lower right. Numbered in pencil # 165 of 350. In plate: Paris, copyright Galerie Lutetia. Print is now unframed, in excellent condition, with just the edges showing signs of previous framing. 510 x 610 mm (20 x 24 inches). "November" - Trekvogels in maannacht [ = Migratory birds in moon night]. Original colour lithograph, printed on chine appliqué (collé), 1907; monogram in the right lower corner of the image. Image size: 220 x 151mm; with the wide margins: 450 x 331mm. There's very mild foxing in the margins only. - De Groot / Rijksmuseum, n° 154; Godoli, page 62. -Very rare proof impression of the central image of Hoytema's calendar page for November, 1907. Very few proofs as this were printed. The captivating image is illustrated and discussed by Cliff Ackley on pages 120-121 of the catalogue "Holland on Paper in the Age of Art Nouveau" (Boston, Museum of Fine Arts, 2014). Between 1902 till 1909 these calendars were published by Hoytema himself. - The closest thing to a pure landscape among all Van Hoytema's calendar lithographs.
