About This Item
New York: Gryphon Editions. Very Good+. 1989. Special edition. Hardcover. Bruno Hauptmann was convicted of kidnapping and murdering Charles Lindbergh's baby son in 1936. This is the riveting story of that incident and the trial in a special reprint edition of the 1937 original Doubleday printing. This reprinting was prepared for members of The Notable Trials Library. There is a previous owner inscription on the free front, blank leaf dated 2013 and a few scratches to the gilt edges. The book is beautifully bound with a black leather spine with gilt spine lettering and raised bands over black cloth with gilt stamped decorations. It also includes a black sewn-in silk ribbon book mark. It is a very pretty book that appears to have been unread. It would make a fine addition to any library. The spine title is "The Lindbergh Kidnapping Case."; Notable Trials Library Series; B&W Photographs; 8vo, 8"- 9" tall; 565 pages .
