Nairobi: Heinemann [Heinemann Educational Books (EAst Africa) Ltd], 1975. Paperback. [256]p., squareback 8.5 x 5.5 inch coated pictorial wraps, mildly rubbed & edgeworn. Laid in is a printed bookmark from Prestige booksellers in Nairobi, has elephant logo. Photosection is unique to this edition, having been taken from "Mzee Jomo Kenyatta, a photobiography" by Peter Moll, published by Transafrica in 1973. Copyright page states, "reprinted 5 times / this edition printed in Kenya 1975." Thus the volume is physically an African production, having been published by Heinemann's Nairobi office, printed (and presumably bound) by Kenya Litho Ltd., also Nairobi. The work on the plates seems perfect (of course, these may have been obtained directly from Transafrica) but the typeface has the faint blur of photocopy.
