About This Item
New York: Hyperion, 1996. First Edition, First Printing. . Hardcover. Fine/Near Fine. The award-winning journalist and award-winning novelist's fifth mystery thriller is set in Southern California where Rebecca Harris, a reporter, has been gunned down on the street in front of her newspaper's offices, starting the two men who loved her -- Josh Weinstein, an FBI agent, and John Menden, a top investigative newsman, on a mission of revenge against a right-wing security organization headed by a charismatic millionaire. Boards and text are clean and unmarked, tight and square. The dustjacket shows a tiny chip in the upper corner of the front panel and a bit of edgewear, o/w no tears, no creasing, not price-clipped. A collectable copy of an early work by the writer many consider to be the best among the current crime-thriller authors.
