An untouched, As New extremely scarce edition, limited to 250 numbered copies, this one (being 234) SIGNED by the illustrator Jane Gyer. The text pages were designed by Michael Osborne Design and printed letterpress on Mohawk Superfine text at One Heart Press in San Francisco. The book was hand bound into Teton cover using a Japanese-style stab sewing; Shortly after 1900, a strong-willed, intelligent, unmarried, and independent woman named Caroline Van der Burgh made a trip from her home on the East Coast to Yosemite Valley. She later self-published for her family an account of the journey by train from San Francisco and then by stage from Merced to the valley over the Santa Fe route .
