Paris: Calmann Lévy, 1896. Hardcover. Very Good. First illustrated edition. Octavo. 107, [1]pp., with "illustrations directes d'après nature" by Gervais-Courtellemont. Text in French. With the original printed paper wrappers, bound in contemporary dark purple three-quarter morocco and marbled paper boards, top edge gilt. Light scuffing to the board edges, light soiling to the wraps, about near fine. A handsome copy in a custom fine binding with seven leather inlays on the spine.
