Binding is bright with wear confined to edges at ends of spine. A little 'soft'. Rear board is marked) Although stated as Volume I, only this volume ever appeared. Octavo 504pp Profusely illustrated. The introduction is by the (then) Colonel Theodore Roosevelt. This is an extremely detailed and quite scientific work.
