A tight, clean, sound copy in library rebound blue cloth covered boards with gold lettering on the spine with a black and white photo frontispiece with minor overall shelf wear plus there is some very light rubbing around the edges plus there is some light yellowing and soiling on the outside paper edges plus there are the usual library marks, pocket, stamps, label, and perforations on the spine, bottom outside paper edges, inside surface of the front board, front endpaper, frontispiece, title page, copyright page, and page 13. Illustrated with a black and white photo frontispiece and 1 page of black and white reproductions. This is a title in the publisher's Moscow Art Theatre Series of russian Plays. Translated from the Russian by Jenny Covan. Edited by Oliver M. Sayler. A historical tragedy about Tsar Fyodor Ivanovitch, a weak but pious Tsar and the younger son of Ivan the Terrible who secceeded to the throne after his fathers killed the elder brother.
