Hardcover, 1939, first edition, published by Constable and Company Ltd, 326 pages + xii.
Measures around 9" by 5 7/8" by 1 3/8". Dust jacket is a bit torn, tattered and chipped with some marking and scuffing. Black cloth binding, gilt lettering to spine, some marking to rear board but otherwise clean. Signs of shelf-wear. Binding firm. Lower page edges deckled, edges generally a little browned, marked, foxed and scuffed. Gift inscription to front free endpaper but otherwise page surfaces clean, with no marginalia, underlining, etc. See pictures for further information.
