About This Item
New York: William Morrow. Very Good+ in Very Good- dust jacket. 1940. First Edition. Hardcover in jacket. First edition bound in edge worn gray cloth with red and black lettering / design along the spine. Complete in 306 bright pages. Top page edges red but exposed to moisture at some point and a few pages it has "bled" onto as well as rear end page. Worn and rubbed dust jacket with edgewear. Scarce in DJ. From the American First Editions collection of Donald C. Scriven (1948-2019). Don relished points of issue and the primacy of the dust jacket but above all he loved the literature! .
