All pages are present. Uniform moderate page toning. No other marks or entries on any of the pages. The binding is strong and firm, no spine separation or cracking. Glit lettering on the spine is still clear and distinct (photo).

The book was widely reviewed and generated considerable controversy. A second edition was published by the University of Virginia in 1974. This is a rare copy of the original First Edition.
