Houghton Mifflin Company, Boston, 1965; First American Edition, eleventh printing, (1965); 8vo, 352 pages; blue cloth; gilt titles. Very Good, in a Very Good dust jacket that has two small (1/2") closed edge tears and light wear at the spine extremities. Not price-clipped. Previous owner name in small cursive hand on front pastedown. W.H. Auden testimonial on rear panel of the dust jacket, in which he declares, "No other fiction I have read in the last five years has given me more joy than The Fellowship Of The Ring." Large foldout map at the back. Text clean and crisp, corners sharp, binding tight, sound, and square, no yellowing.

Synopsis

The Two Towers is the second volume of J. R. R. Tolkien's high fantasy novel The Lord of the Rings. It is preceded by The Fellowship of the Ring and followed by The Return of the King.
