As my secretary has explained, however, I have been out of the city for some time and then upon my return contracted some kind of virus. Through I have returned to the Court, I still feel I must curb extra activities this week and under the circumstances will have to forego your annual dinner..." Boldly signed and in fine condition.<br/> <br/> United States Attorney General appointed by President Harry S. Truman and later, an Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court.<br/> <br/>
