1936. ("P.G. Wodehouse") in black fountain pen ink on his 1315 Angelo Drive, Beverly Hills, California letterhead, November 7, 1936. 7 1/4" x 10 1/4"; 1 page (recto only). Very good. Dear Mr. Barry: In part: ". . . Thank you so much for your letter. I am so glad you like the stories. I enclose the two cards. I'm sorry to say I haven't any photographs of myself . . ." Wodehouse first went to Hollywood in 1929 for a short stay, returning in early 1930. He returned again in September 1936 to work at MGM. RKO released his film "A Damsel in Distress" in 1937, starring Fred Astaire, George Burns, Gracie Allen and Joan Fontaine. His novels "The Luck of the Bodkins", "Young Men in Spats" and "Laughing Gas" were published in 1936.. No Binding. Very Good/No Jacket.
