A bound volume of 12 issues of Zeitschrift fur Instrumentenkunde ...der wissenschaftlichen Technik from 1920, containing many articles on scientific instruments and optics including this article found in three consecutive issues. An ex-library copy (U.E.S. Library), stamped on each issue, the whole bound in card covers with a white cloth spine. Text in German. Many illustrations and advertisements from scientific instrument manufacturers. As often the case, paper quality varies greatly from heavily browned and approaching brittle to sound. The journal articles are mostly on the best paper, advertisements often on higher acid paper. Boards. Erfle was a well known optician who worked for the famous Zeiss works, where he developed (among other things) wide field eyepieces for binoculars and telescopes. His article here (loosely translated) is "about the deflection of a beam running outside the prism main section". Another article by C.. Pulfrich is also from the Zeiss works, "ein- und zweikreisiges kristall-goniometer mit Einrichtungen für die Untersuchung kleiner und mangelhafter kristallflachen" ("one and two-ring crystal goniometer with facilities for the investigation of small and defective crystal surfaces").

Other articles are as diverse as astronomical work (Hartmann), seismological work, etc. The volume has a few other related journal issues bound in (mostly Zeitschrift der Deutschen Gesellschaft fur Machanik und Optik).
