Note on the wood-engravings by the publisher: ''The two vignettes were engraved...in 1926...A few signed prints only were issued, and the blocks were not used in the edition of Disraeli for which they were designed. The blocks later came into the possession of the publisher of this book; thinking them apt decorations for the story, he assumes responsibility for their insertion''. Buckram-backed decorated paper boards. Printed on J. Barcham Green ''Charles I'' hand-made paper.Limited to 350 copies signed by the author. This copy is unnumbered, but inscribed by the publisher at the limitation statement: ''d. of 25 for presentation - D.C.''.Free endpapers lightly tanned. Small ink mark on front cover. Near fine.
