Hardcover. 25cm, first edition, xv,[1],365p., with 48 plates, (sepia and blue tone), 22 maps and diagrams, navy blue cloth, gilt spine titles, some slight fading at the spine but a fine copy. (ar) A.B. 5813. Narrative of an expedition of ten members under Glen to Northeast Land, a region of Spitsbergen, July 1935 - Aug. 1936, made to investigate weather conditions on inland ice, and problems connected with the age, thickness and physical condition of the icecap. It contains interesting details concerning the establishment of the work station and on the use of dogs in exploration.
