It was first published in the fall of 1941 and received critical acclaim comparable to The Sea Around Us nearly ten years later but a nation plunged into war At Pearl Harbor had its mind on other things. The book was reissued in 1952 (and this is the 4th printing done in 1962) and has since then continued to be a favorite with readers throughout the world. Dark blue boards with silver stamping to spine and front board is fresh and crisp. Textblock is unmarked, crisp and supple. Illustrated endpapers. There are two small spots on top of textblock, else fine. Price intact jacket has moderate edgewear at head of spine and light rubbing at folds. In mylar. . Fourth Printing. Hardcover.
