Kjobenhavn: Paa den Gyldendalske Boghandlings Forlag, Trykt hos H. F. Popp, 1818. HB. Half brown leather and green marbled boards, gilt lettering with gilt designs on spine, 8vo, xii, 312 pp., marbled endpapers, all edges of text block stained blue. X-library, but only markings are "Duplicate Harvard College Library" stamped on verso of title page and top of first page of forward. No markings to covers. Classic work by Rask (1787-1832) dealing with Nordic Philology and the first work to systematically study Nordic languages. Neat notations, in pencil, front and rear blank endpapers, no marks in text. Binding tight. Covers show edge wear, leather lacking on front and rear bottom corners, front joint split 1/2" at bottom. Book condition VG-. Text in Danish.
