Transnet Museum. Johannesburg 2000.. Some minor stains to front wrap hence G-VG condition.. Pictorial card wraps. 72pp stabled A4 illustrated. Only 650 copies printed. Transnet Museum organised a tour of 4184k over main, secondary, & branch lines, around South Africa and Zimbabwe. This was a steam-powered safari undertaken at a time when the majority of the rail network was running under electric or diesel power. This is an illustrated description of the route, the vintage rolling stock, and the steam motive power used on the train - the latter being illustrated with many of the locomotives that were available for different sections of the route. A fascinating look at the very last days of steam.
