"In order to explain why I am a United Churchman, it is necessary for me first to introduce my readers to the United Church of Christ. This I do with unstinted pleasure, with the hope that the introduction itself will serve to make the explanation for me, indicating the features of that church which draw me to it...." - An Introduction from The United Church of Christ
