LONDON: CHAPMAN AND HALL, 1921. Decorated Cloth. Very Good/No Jacket. 9 vols. Attractive uniform set of the UNIVERSAL ART SERIES from Chapman and Hall. All bound in blue decorated cloth, clean and tidy, sharp and bright, with minor rubbing. Clean throughout. All books have had their endpapers removed, otherwise I would have described this set as near fine to fine. Nevertheless, they present well and all plates are intact. The publication dates are as follows: THE ART OF CARVED SCULPTURE VOL I and II (1931); CARICATURE (1928); SCULPTURE OF TODAY VOL I and II (1921); THE ART OF ILLUSTRATION (1921); THE ART OF DECORATIVE PAINTING (1927); THE ART OF THE MINIATURE PAINTER (1926); ADVERTISEMENT DESIGN (1927). A lovely set at a good price, at less then £9 per volume. Postage rates will reflect the weight of the set.
