Berkeley: University of California, 1926-1929. First edition.. No signs of use, a bright and clean copy in very good condition.. Pp. (6), 467 (includes index) 1 color plate by Allan Brooks, 19 full page plates (all are black-and-white photo-plates), numerous text-figures. Early wine red cloth, lettered in gilt on a black spine label, thick lg 8vo. This volume contains 17 papers and monographs on mammals, birds and reptiles. The two longest monographs are: "Report on a collection of birds and mammals from the Atlin region, northern British Columbia" by H.G. Swarth (112 pages, 1 color plate by Allan Brooks, 5 black-and-white photo-plates, 11 text-figures, 1926) and "Variations in the fox sparrow (Passerella iliaca): With reference to natural history and osteology" by Jean Linsdale (142 pages, 5 black-and-white photo-plates, 38 text-figures, 1928). Mildly ex-library from the Reading Public Museum with a white call number on the spine, bookplate of Reading Museum on the front endpaper and Museum stamps on the rear endpapers.
