Leslie Atkinson. x+122, 12 dec.unfolding maps ex-pagination, 24 text ills, occ. full page, dec. initials to each chap.; 1947 gift inscrip. top front endpapers, faint brown strips to endpapers offset from wraparounds, otherwise internally clean, tight & unmarked, all maps collated as present, covers clean and unworn but slight fading to spine and front top & outer edges; unclipped jacket fairly clean but a few minor surface marks and rubs, edges slightly browning in places, top edge slightly rubbed but top spine has small chip. Wide-ranging informal coverage of lesser known aspects of local history, folklore, natural history etc of 12 major regions of UK. Note: quoted shipping rates are calculated for 500-700 gram net weight, cost will be modified up or down as appropriate outside this range.
