London, Cassell & Company, 1942 2nd edition. Hardback, 8.5 x 5.5 inches. Bound in blue cloth with gilt lettering to spine. In very good condition. Cloth clean and smart, some minor rubbing to corners and slightly to ends of spine. Slight darkening to endpapers, no penned inscriptions, some light foxing to edges, else pages all very clean and tight. An excellent copy. 349pp. Illustrated with 5 B&W halftone photo-plates. Churchill’s war speeches from tribute to Chamberlain in1940 to ‘Preparation, Liberation, Assault’, given in Ottowa and broadcast to the world, Dec 30 1941.
