West Hartford, VT: Countryman Press, (1946). First Edition. Hardcover. Fine. Quarto, illustrated with black ad white etching reproduction plus tipped in color plates. 1/160 numbered copies signed by Schaldach this copy #87 and contains an original etching as frontispiece signed by Schaldach. A fine copy in beige and green cloth with an inlay of a color print on the front cover. In addition the author has warmly inscribed the book on the front fly leaf to Sportsman Hugh Chatham ".....with appreciation for permission to include the bookplate, and hearty good wishes from a fellow sportsman, William J Schaldach February 2 1947, ?? West Hartford, Vermont . In the foreword Schaldach pays homage to ".Prescott le B. Gardner, H Carson Flood and Hugh Gwyn Chatham for allowing me to reproduce severall small plates which were commissioned by them" In publisher's very good fragile slipcase light wear at the extremities and starting a 1/2 inch split
